Jen and Rod were absolutely amazing from day 1 of booking and even now, months following our wedding.

We originally had a fancy wedding planned with a formal venue and all of it. But our venue prices when up after we paid our deposit and we realized we couldn’t afford a big venue AND a photographer and we just were NOT willing to compromise having pictures of our special day to look back on.

So we canceled the big venue and decided to have our wedding in the backyard. Why have it indoors… in Maine.. during the fall season.. when you could be surrounded by all the beautiful colors?

We immediately got digging and found [Queen of Jax] R. Jackson Photography. We were super impressed by their work and their perfect reviews.

We weren’t the easiest of clients. We weren’t super sure what we were looking for. We were going through an extraordinarily stressful time in our lives, and at the same time trying to plan our wedding for which everything seems to be going wrong. As soon as we found Jen and Rod, everything was put into perspective.

They were fantastic on the day of the wedding. Rolled with every punch, delay, and awkward family dynamic. They are incredibly professional but aren’t stiff as boards. They enjoyed the party with everyone else and that’s really what we wanted.

The photos they produced are incredible. They captured the mood so well, and they truly captured our personalities.

We had them do our wedding photos this fall and absolutely loved how the pictures came out. In one of our favorites, they spent hours editing out a whole flock of seagulls on the pier we were on, leaving us with an absolutely stunning picture everyone loves.
